in The Last Word

The Last Word is an entertainment game. AI (Gemini) generates timed rounds for play; it is not real witness testimony or advice.
What does Speed Oracle feel like?
The witness cuts out. For a beat it's quiet - then you mark the clue lines that echo the case note.
How does a session play?
A round opens with a short case note (spoken on device). Next comes live testimony - you listen through to the end.
The sixty-second countdown begins. You mark the clue lines that echo the note and finish with Accuse / Innocent. If time runs out, the call defaults to Innocent.
After the summary you can take the next suspect. Fresh rounds are generated for play (Gemini); they are not Story Detective case files.
Before you play
Know the setup facts so the first round does not surprise you.
- Network required. Loading new rounds needs a connection - this mode is not offline.
- Detective license. Sign in with Play Games and claim your detective license when the gate asks.
- Shared daily AI energy. Speed Oracle uses the same daily focus pool as Story Detective. When energy is empty, refill paths appear in-app (ad or Detective's Pass).
What is Speed Oracle not?
It is not Guess the Word, not Story Detective, and not Dark Tales. Here: case note → testimony → 60 seconds for clue lines → Accuse / Innocent.
Guess the Word: yes/no questions, then you type the secret word. Speed Oracle has no secret-word guess.
Story Detective: you interrogate suspects on a fixed case from packs (dossier, accusation). Speed Oracle runs fresh timed rounds, not that case archive.
Dark Tales: interactive horror with irreversible action picks. Speed Oracle has no horror path with action picks.
How do I open Speed Oracle?
From Home: Play → How do you play? → Single player → Game mode → Speed Oracle (badge Available when the mode is on).
The mode is unlocked now. Claim the detective license if asked. When energy is empty, refill (ad or Detective's Pass), then tap Begin. Speed Oracle is a single-player path - local party on one phone stays Guess the Word only.
